WorkBee — a field-service platform we built and run ourselves
WorkBee is Xymel's own product: a job-management platform for tradespeople and service businesses, covering scheduling, routing, billing and customer records across a connected web dashboard, mobile app and client portal.
The work
WorkBee is built as a monorepo with three connected apps: a Next.js web dashboard for the office, a native Expo mobile app for engineers on the road, and a client portal for customers to view jobs and balances.
The mobile app covers a technician's full working day — today's timeline, route mapping between jobs, job and round management, billing, and customer balances — with an AI receptionist, Buzz, handling incoming calls when the team is on a job.
The whole product runs on a Supabase backend, with a shared black/white/green design system (Plus Jakarta Sans) carried consistently across web, mobile and portal.
